Looking back at the last 12 months I have been traveling quite. Several trips within the United States and three trips alone to the UK with a quick add-on excursion to Germany – it adds up. While my flights have mostly to be booked using my employers travel portal, a lot of other travel expenses go through my personal credit cards and then I get reimbursed by my employer after travel. In the past I have been using the Chase United Mileage Plus credit card. The year 2019 is off to a busy start for us. The first 3 days of work are behind us. However, the weekend we took some time to talk more about our future plans and what we need to do to properly exit the rat race. I was out for a long training run yesterday and had time to listen to listen some real estate investment related podcasts. I am currently training for a 100 mile trail endurance run and spent almost 5 hours trail running yesterday. Plenty of time to listen to podcasts. Over the last few weeks we talked a lot about how our timeline for retirement could look like. The more I think about it, I am not really willing to work until I am 67, 65, or 62 for that matter. I want to be able to be really physically active during retirement and who knows how things look like 15 years from now.
